Interactive Analysis of Demographic Variables and Occupational Stress on University Lecturers’ Job Performance

This research studied the interaction influence of demographic characteristics (marital status, job rank, gender and age) occupational stress level, on work performance faculty members in Calabar Metropolis. The descriptive survey design was utilized for this investigation. A sample 150 respondents identified using systematic random sampling procedure from a population 400 Faculty Education lecturers two public universities four-point scale validity reliability certified questionnaire used data collection. Data generated analyzed two-way analysis variance. Hypotheses were all tested at 0.05 alpha level. Findings revealed significant interactive effect variables (age, gender, rank marital status) levels lecturers' jobs. Results also indicated that level affects degree or quality performance, with those having average reporting better studied. Recommendations made lecturers, irrespective age, status should develop adopt good management skills disengage/reduce extra jobs other unnecessary stress-inducing activities.
